914 SUBIE SPROUTS WINGS!

From a potential scene out of "Transformers," Dana's steel clad 914 has, yet a new feature for all to see. Spawned from many late model Porsches, and driven by the doubting masses that have tried, Dana Stokes of Renegade Hybrids, has constructed the first 914 automated retractable wing.

Sensing speeds above 45MPH, this seemingly stock 914 rear trunk lid, gently comes to life acting as a perfect rear spoiler. As the speeds diminish, the wing settles within it's unassuming resting place, completing the clean finished lines of this classic little two-seater. In addition, an extra-added feature of this robotic airfoil, is the quick move to nearly vertical under heavy breaking. Extra down force and drag, coupled with the upgraded 911 Carerra brake package make the stopping power unimaginable.

Neither Dana, nor Renegade, has any designs of marketing this new contraption at this time, but we are always looking outside of the box and finding ways to drive a little harder. ( video )
